Your Student Finance will be your main source of income whilst you're at university so it's important to know it well!

So what is student finance? Student finance is there to help you with the two main costs of studying:

  • Tuition Fees
  • Living costs (often referred to as Maintenance costs)

The majority of UK students will have the cost of their Tuition Fees and living expenses met by applying for financial support online, via their relevant Student Finance websites. What you are entitled to will depend upon your individual circumstances, where you live, what you are studying, and at what level.

Click on the tabs below to find out more about what you could be entitled to, and when you've done that test yourself with our student finance jargon buster game (below):

I Live in Wales
I Live in England
I Live in Scotland
I Live in Northern Ireland
I Live in the EU
I am an International Student (from outside the UK and EU)
I am studying an NHS funded course
I am studying a Social Work course
I am studying Graduate Entry Medicine
